Schools & local authorities

Meaningful progress is achieved through collaborative, transparent partnership with local authorities, schools, and families. Our focus is on delivering positive, measurable outcomes that successfully prepare young people for their next steps in education or community life.

“As SENDCo, I support children’s learning by fostering trust in adult relationships and group interactions. I also work collaboratively with schools and other professionals to ensure cohesive, needs-led provision across both our site and school settings, enabling our young learners to access the support they need to thrive.” Laura Rawlins – SENDCo

At Out to Learn we view ourselves as a proactive partner in a child’s educational journey. We work closely with families, schools, and Local Authorities to ensure every young person’s pathway is supported, purposeful, and aligned with wider educational goals. We understand that each young person is unique: whether their goal is successful re-engagement with a mainstream environment, or building the necessary trust and confidence to work effectively in small groups. For us, the child is always at the centre of everything we do.

Collaboration and Communication
Consistent collaboration is key to every young person’s progress. We value open communication and want to be responsive and professional at every touchpoint. We provide both formal documentation and informal feedback to ensure schools, parents, and local authorities are informed of progress. This approach reassures our partners that Out to Learn is an effective and reliable extension of their educational provision.

Expertise in SEND
Our commitment to partnership is led by our qualified SENDCo. As a teaching SENDCo, Laura brings a deep understanding of both the diverse needs of our students and the procedural requirements of schools and Local Authorities. She ensures that all feedback is meaningful, actionable, and structured to support critical processes such as funding applications and the formal requirements of Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments (EHCNA).

By working in close partnership with families and professionals, we provide the consistency and care every child deserves. Fostering trust, resilience, and a renewed sense of purpose in their education and everyday lives.
