Learning with empathy

We build confidence from the inside out. With the right support, young people can reconnect with their learning and themselves.

Wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. Through a trauma-informed approach,
we support emotional development and self-awareness, helping young people manage challenges and build stronger relationships. Whether it’s through time outdoors, creative activities, or simply being listened to, we give students space to feel safe, valued, and ready to learn.

Alongside emotional wellbeing, we provide a blend of academic subjects and practical life skills, tailored to each student’s needs and interests. With small-group teaching in English, Maths and Science, and hands-on learning that builds independence and confidence, we create opportunities for meaningful progress, both in and out of the classroom.

Our sessions are focused on equipping children with the essential tools to succeed, skilfully weaving curriculum areas like English, Maths and Science into other activities. This approach is intentional: we understand that labelling a lesson with a subject name can sometimes trigger anxiety for some learners. Instead, we prioritise curiosity and discovery, ensuring every child feels capable and confident applying fundamental skills in real-world scenarios. Furthermore, our dedicated team brings their own unique passions and interests to enrich their teaching, ensuring the learning experience is always dynamic and engaging.

“It’s rare to find such a good quality provision that is genuinely very nurturing and able to support our children’s needs fully. Out to Learn definitely have a huge impact on the lives of the children they work with. Keep up the amazing work!“ Natasha Lewis – Parent
