Nature based alternative provision
Led by qualified teachers, we support students, both on and off the school roll, who require bespoke solutions in order to progress through their academic journey and beyond.

“Nature and the outdoors offer a therapeutic environment that supports physical and mental health, helping young people connect with the world around them.” Mike Williams – Founder
Out to Learn provides specialist alternative provision for children and young people aged 7 to 14 with SEND (with or without an EHCP), who benefit from a nurturing, small-group environment outside of mainstream education.
Sessions are led by qualified teachers and combine academic learning with nature-based experiences, placing a strong emphasis on emotional wellbeing and personal development. This approach creates a safe, engaging space where students can rebuild confidence and rediscover a love of learning.
Our provision is particularly suited to young people who are anxious, disengaged, or struggling to thrive in traditional classroom settings. Through a personalised, holistic programme, we help them reconnect with learning in a way that feels meaningful and supportive. All sessions are trauma-informed, child-led, and designed to meet each learner’s unique needs.
A peaceful place in nature where young people are valued, supported, and gently guided to regain trust, resilience, and a sense of possibility.
